Re-Entry to Purpose

Pathways: Re-Entry to Purpose

VSSN’s Reentry to Purpose connects pathways for justice-involved or justice-impacted veterans and veteran-linked individuals (ages 17-26) to build stability, skills, and pursue meaningful careers as Healthcare Workers.

Through one-on-one behavioral healthcare, navigational support, certification training, and career development/placement, participants transition from reentry to purpose—fostering healing, resilience, economic stability, and lifelong success.

THE JOURNEY

Reentry & Connection ➜
Justice-involved or justice-impacted veterans and veteran-linked individuals (ages 17–26) are connected through Veterans Justice Outreach (VJO), Veterans Court, or community partners.

⬇️

Stabilization & Support ➜
Participants receive one-on-one behavioral healthcare and care navigational services through VSSN and a care navigator who links them to non-clinical supports—such as housing, wellness, and financial literacy—building stability and readiness.

⬇️

Education & Skill Development ➜
Through smaller, personalized classrooms, participants complete certificate-based training in Community Health Work or Healthcare Support, preparing for meaningful, purpose-driven careers.

⬇️

Internship & Career Placement ➜
Most participants gain paid, hands-on experience and secure sustainable, living-wage employment in healthcare through partnerships with community employers.

⬇️

Lifelong Success & Purpose ✨
Participants achieve healing, resilience, economic stability, and long-term housing and career success, contributing to reduced recidivism rates by up to 40% within two years.
